My Men from small-large

I almost didn't take a picture today until my friend made me feel guilty. hahaha But Eddie arrived home from being out of town so I threw on the flash and got this. So glad I took one. I love it!

Goggles!!

Oh my word!!! Are they not the cutest. Matthew has always loved goggles. Daniel needed them after the first day. His eyes were burning. And Critter, well he just wanted to be like the other boys! :)

Hard work

So the boys were being their normal selves during Monday school and goofing off so I told Jon, the owner of the home we are in, to put them to work. Yep, they got to dig up the grass and weeds in the front yard. Fun, fun, fun! Matthew looks less than thrilled but he actually worked the hardest and ended up getting the largest frozen yogurt too. Jon ended up treating them. Unfortunately we are still up doing  Matthew's work to turn in tomorrow. Last weeks Sea World adventure threw us a bit off. :/ 14 more days of school left. Yes!

Make Shift Ramp

Well it is probably more accurate to call it the "ghetto" ramp. It is pretty bad but hey, they both just purchased new pro scooters and are stoked to use them. Jesse actually had his bars custom cut and we were able to barter Matthew's down in price. I put my iPod dock out there and blasted their music for them while they rode. Something to do during spring break. :)

Gopher Hunting

There are gophers everywhere in the backyard of our temporary house. There are so many tunnels the ground gives when you walk across it. My goodness! The boys are having an absolute blast hunting for them. They have even made these crazy contraptions, aka traps, to try and catch them. So far the only one who has had any luck is our Rott, Charger. She has caught and killed two.  We wake up to the dead ones laying by her crate.

Does she have a cow....

....that I can milk? These were the first words out of Daniel's mouth when I told him we were going to a friends' house that has farm animals. hahaha The boys had a blast! I had to take Jesse to study hall and asked my friend, Pauley, who lived close to his school if she wanted to have coffee and see me and Christopher. He was her bud when he went to nursery at church. Well she had a MUCH better idea. Bring the boys over to see the animals. It was ON! It isn't every day that you get to.....
....feed a pig, yes he got through ...
....dump food all over a chicken's head....
scratch / pet a pig...
....and catch a hen!!! :)

Hi Grandma!!!

These were specially requested by my mom who is an eight hour drive from me. She misses their faces and I miss hers. She is a champ and comes down to visit about every three months. We don't have a spare room for her but she endures whatever we have just to be with us. Sometimes I just wished she lived right around the corner for super easy access. Mom, the boys miss your stories, Eddie misses your cookies, and I miss playing Scrabble...well maybe not since it is more like losing Scrabble! ;) xoxo to you!

Grimy Little Hands

Grimy but sweet! I actually have four sets of these at home. I gave up on wiping the walls down awhile ago. Well, we do it every once in awhile but really, who can keep up with this kind of  dirt. :) It is constant with four boys. And if it isn't on my walls it goes strait to their shirts. :) "Sure son, just wipe it down the front of your shirt, no one will notice." Someone once told me I would miss all the fingerprints....hmmmm....we'll see! Although, I must admit they are pretty darn cute!

Sleeping Bag

Okay I am really throwing myself out here putting this picture up with my big mouth and leftover makeup! The boys were crawling around on the upstairs hallway floor with all their blankets and being goofy this morning and I decided to join them, minus the goofy part. I just got in the middle. They all slept in the same room last night and Daniel used this sleeping bag. It the most comfortable one ever and was mine when I was a teenager. So I climbed in. They each climbed in with me at one point. :) Matthew then ran to get Eddie's iPhone for him and I stopped him on the way and snapped a quick picture. So cool it has a flash on it and so glad I have a sweet memory with my boys...even though it is goofy! :)

Smile

This was a super quick shot, specifically taken for my photo of the day, and I actually got a picture with all their eyes open, no goofy faces (not that they are bad but they are common :)), and a smile. A rare thing indeed.

Copy Cat

I thought it might be cool to take pictures of the books for my daily photo but Daniel jumped right in. He is so funny....but even way funnier is the next one.......
....hahahaha....he tried to do exactly what Daniel did. It makes me laugh so hard! Sorry guys, Kimberlee won photo of the day but you do make me laugh the hardest!!!

Cousins

This is 7 out of 10 grandsons on Eddie's side of the family. There are no granddaughters. His younger sister and her 3 boys came up to visit for Christopher's birthday and they all had a blast. It was a great visit.

Safari Day

The boys go with Eddie to an annual Safari Day that is held up in Corona. It is always a guaranteed great day. My mom was in town and it was during that July heat wave so we opted to stay home in the air conditioning with the baby.  Here are some pics of their activities.

I love how hard he tries at everything. he is SO determined. He does everything with all his might.

Apparently Matthew was the only one who could get the dog to retrieve the mark. It looks like the dog is about to take off but he had to stay until Matthew gave the command. All the other boys used their regular voice so Matthew decided to try a low voice like the dogs master. It worked and the dog fetched!

Good doggy!

That's my boy! I really wish we could go climbing together in the real mountains. I would love that. Maybe when he is older we can taking a mountaineering class together.  Him and I are the adventurous ones. We always talk about being on The Amazing Race together. Love him.

Signs of Summer

Summer has arrived and I caught a few moments to prove it awhile ago but am just now posting them.

A bit of progress on my tomatoes although I can't say much for the rest of the veggies I planted.

We also planted a sunflower garden of all sorts of varieties.

Someone needs to water the gardens. Jesse is teaching him to work hard. :)

A rapidly melting popsicle for his break time.

Pizza Anyone?

My oldest got to go to a sleepover party so I thought I would invite some friends over for my other ones. I planned some fun activities for them with the first one being homemade/handmade pizza.

Notice the finger swirls in the pizza sauce! I did say "handmade" right?

They kept eating the cheese.

Pryce said it would be cool if there was a gun that would shoot out the pepperoni onto the pizza. He was speaking Matthew's language.

They were so excited to make it but they each only had like half a slice. They were too interested in playing together.

Mud - Round 3

Today was the first day of sunshine in 5 days. The boys were eager to get back out to their "hole" to do who knows what! I guess it is just all about digging it deeper. They put pants on the day the sun was shining, go figure!

Poor Daniel. I think he wants a shovel.

Not sure what his purpose was but he was having a good time feeling like a man.

Good hard labor! Wish they were as diligent in the house.

They think this is their "turf" but I am thinkin' that maybe in spring I can plant a few trees since half the work is already done.

Mud - Round 1

It rained a little bit the first day of the crazy 5 day storm all of California just experienced so my boys decided to take advantage of the soft dirt and dig their hole. This hole has been here for over a year but has been fairly shallow. Well, they wanted it deep and wide. So out in the rain they went.

Ya know they are from Southern California when they do EVERYTHING in shorts!

I am embarrassed to tell  you how much I paid for these shoes.

These, well, they are Payless replaceable.

AND these, well it is all he wears (unless of course I insist, which isn't very often.)
