Family Picnic!

We decided on a family picnic this afternoon. We have all been running around since school started and with all the homework and rearranging of schedules we haven't seen much of each other. This place is right up the street from us and we haven't been in awhile. I came in and all I could see was that it was teeming with places for photo shoots. Look forward to coming back to take family photos....and another picnic!

My Men from small-large

One of my favorite people

My sister in law is one of my favorite people in my life. Love her to pieces. She just finished coming back from Yosemite before they came to SD and took a picture in the very same place as the one in the magazine. Fun! Love our hotel reflecting in her glasses. It was such a nice resort.

Jesse and Madeline

We took a family vacation this week. We went down to SD. Our first evening we had a picnic in the park next to the beach. Jesse and Madeline are only 3 months apart and the first grand children on my side. They have been pretty close since they were little. We don't get to see much of them so it was nice for them to get to hang out. They are getting so big.

Christopher's 2 on 1-11-11

Yes 3 of my boys were born in the same week. This is the first year I have made three birthday cakes in one week. Sheesh, I was so sick of sugar!

Love that Critter knew Georgie was being funny!

Back Seat Confessions + Bribery

This is my dad. Isn't he awesome?! My brother and I picked him up from the airport this morning to take a drive out to Palm Springs to visit family. Not but a few minutes after we got on the freeway he said, "So Carri, I will tell you my story of when I was 15 and wrecked my dad's car if you tell me yours!" Yes folks, bribery at it's best!

Cousins

This is 7 out of 10 grandsons on Eddie's side of the family. There are no granddaughters. His younger sister and her 3 boys came up to visit for Christopher's birthday and they all had a blast. It was a great visit.

Company Picnic

Eddie has been working for a company called Living Waters for almost a year now and he loves it. He has never been happier at a job. It started off as freelance work with a year contract but he just recently hired on as a full time employee. Woo hoo!! Here is the website to the ministry he works for.

Here are some fun pictures form the company picnic that we went to. I am guessing it was around the 4th of  July. :)

This is Eddie's boss, Ray Comfort.  He is always cracking jokes and making people laugh even when he is sharing the seriousness of the gospel. Eddie loves working with him and is always encouraged in the Lord and challenged to keep a sharp wit. :)

These things shot like over 50 yards!!

April Snow Run

This is our spot we go to. Not that we go every year but we try. We wanted to go off the beaten path but we figured we needed a spot, the "lodge", to escape to with the baby. Turns out it was a gorgeous day and warm enough to just sit outside and enjoy the sunshine. We had the best time.

Here is Daniel all nice and snug in his tube.

Here is mine! Now how am I suppose to fit into that? Talk about snug! Yes, I tried. Yes, I failed. Yes, it was a hilarious disaster. Eddie and I laughed so hard. Needless to say I traded it in for another tube after one run on it.

The people mover.

Why is my son walking down the slope?

Downhill view.

Uphill view. Thanks for the push son!

It was simply gorgeous! Look at that strange but wonderful cloud!

The Whole Gang

What a great Christmas! Eddie's entire family came up from San Diego. There are 10 grandsons in all and no granddaughters. They always have a blast together. Our boys got new BB guns for Christmas so they all decided to climb our neighborhood hill and go shootin'.

The whole familia! Everyone was dressed nice but me and Jesse. We had made a trip to the emergency room that morning and everyone was at the house by the time we returned. Gotta love my hat.

One more time around....

...the plaza. It really is a beautiful town to walk around. It was a crisp and blustery day and we all enjoyed shuffling through the leaves. Window shopping is nice but buying something... well lets just say PRICEY. I spent $18 on one tiny bowl of soup and medium bag of homemade chips.  The chef seemed surprised when I asked for it to go and gave it to me in a disposable tupperware container.  Apparently they were fresh out of to go cups. He said, "You can bring it back or just keep it." For $18 I think I will just hang on to it. HA! So much for the "high end" customer service. It was a good laugh.

Another beauty. It stood the test of the winds.

Another day....

another accomplishment!!!

Every boy needs a stick. ;)

The work of their hands!

It has been three years since we have been to my parents for Thanksgiving. My mother always does such a lovely job of decorating the table (this year it was very simple and elegant) and making everyone feel so welcomed, especially us. She spoils us with the many luxuries that her gorgeous home provides and refuses that I do any work. Oh, I love her. My father always slaves in the kitchen and his food is practically perfect, though he would say it IS prefect.

So elegant!

We were all up to midnight the night before and were SO tired. Look at poor Christopher. He went to bed a 5pm that night.

Bob Kweller and my dad's yearly tradition....carvin' it up!

Hey, they forgot to roast the turkey. :)
