Homemade Gummy Candy

So easy and the kids love it!!! Okay in all fairness I realized I took an extra picture and numbered them wrong and do not intend to do it over :). So I get a day off today. This was taken yesterday. I posted two Monday ones. Sheesh. I know I am going to be so thankful when this project is over but so thankful I did it!!! It will be fun to look back. :)

Pokaly!!

Pronounced Pookaly!!! This is what they call any character that they think has big lips. So Daniel decided to draw him one day. He had the funniest drawings. Love the too short shirt.

After School Break

This is what Daniel did when we got home from school and got out of the car. It was HOT and he was done! hahahaha

Sick Boy

We had three extra boys over today and he came down with a fever and had to stay up in my room. Poor little fella.

Preschool with big brother

Daniel's first day of school ....ever...without me!!

Oh how I love him. He looks so worried in this picture!!! The second day of school he called me crying from the office because he was afraid my friend would forget to pick him up. Poor guy.

BUT a brother and friends will keep him company and laughing. :))

School Time

This is Daniel's first year in school ever. He is only going two days a week but is excited to be with his buddy Parker featured in the second window. Excited for all my boys. Excited for the year. Looking forward to their growth and mine. :)

Pouty!!

Daniel had a friend over and she played with Matthew almost the entire time. He was so pouty. He wanted her all to himself. Oh well. Matthew knew how to get into her little world and she loved it. It was sweet...well for them. 

Frame Stand

Happy Traveler

It took us 6 hours to reach the campsite. We went camping with the youth group from our church. Just a quick 4 day and 3 night camping adventure where Eddie did lots of video taping and I helped out with the kiddos.

No internet

So we won't get internet at the new house until the 31st. Bummer. You don't realize how dependent you are on it until you don't have it. Starbucks is 2 minutes from the new house and I had bills to pay and a report to do with Daniel. Glad for the excuse to get a latte.

Legoland

We got a sweet deal on Legoland tickets through school and went with some friends. While they went on the roller coaster Daniel and I sat back and found this. "Mom, get a picture!" It was the only good one I took all day. I was lazy and enjoyed just walking around without the camera. It was such a relaxing day for me. We walked the park slowly and nothing was a rush. It was great and I loved watching my boys have a ball.    

Drop In

We had friends over the other night and the little boys all got the courage to drop in on the ramp for the first time with the big wheel. Yeah for them.

Sammy

Sammy seriously won my affection today!  I do not know him too good but let me tell you, he has got to be awesome. We were at a hearing today for the boys school and I got the chance to run in the meeting without the boys. I ran to Jesse and told him to keep an eye on Daniel. Sammy was standing next to Jesse and while my son looked at me dazed for a few moments Sammy chimed in and said, "Okay." Really, I wasn't even talking to him. Then after it was all over he was playing with Daniel outside while all the other big kids were hanging. He was so gentle but fun at the same time. Not that the two can't go together but it doesn't usually happen that way at my house. Someone always gets hurt. :) Anyway, every teenage boy should be this sweet! 

Gopher Hunting- Round 3!!

Daniel killed one!!!! You know when we first moved in here Jon said he would pay $5 for every gopher caught to the one who caught it. I think he thought it would never happen. ha! Someone needs to pay up! The boys said it was out of it's hole and Daniel whacked it with a stick and stunned it.....well ends up he killed it. Way to go Daniel!!

Reading 101

Daniel's new pass time is reading to Critter. They both love it. We tried to read to him before his nap and bedtime since it just doesn't seem to happen during the day. He loves it just as much as the other boys did at that age. This is a sweet picture to me. I love the title too since this is my 101st picture of the year!!! yea! 264 to go!!

Sunday School Homework

The other day Daniel went into the living room, got quite and began working on something. He then was wondering where all the magnets on the fridge went. "Packed son, sorry. BUT I have packing tape!" He kept coming over and asking for little pieces. Later on he revealed his little display to me.  I love it. I love that he wanted to do his Sunday School homework. I especially love all the dirty fingerprints on my fridge. :) It's awesome . Not sure he would have wanted to do all this if it weren't for his amazing teachers at church.

"My Book About Me"

This is such a cool book for little kids who can read and write. I had one when I was a girl and loved it. Every time one of my boys turns 7 this is what he gets as a present. Today Daniel turned 7! It is filled with questions about "What is your favorite....", "How tall are you..", "How many steps, forks, windows....and such are in your house"...and on and on. They get to WRITE all the answers to the questions IN the book and color the pictures that aren't filled in. Of course they are constantly going back to the book and changing their answers as they grow but it gets filled with fun memories of what they use to be like and who they are becoming. Every 7 year old should have one!

Daniel and Friends

Today was Daniel's big day....his first birthday party ever!! He has been so excited for so long. It was lots of fun. We haven't done a party for a long time and in the past we use to make a big deal about all the games and things we would do to entertain the kids but this time around Eddie and I barely had it in us! Lots going on I guess. We did a treasure hunt, took a long break while the kids ran around, played another game, took an extra long break and talked with our friends, mustarded up the strength to do the pinata with the help of a friend, found time for another break and hung out with friends some more, then served the birthday cake...oh I mean cookie (that's another story). After that we kicked our feet up for a bit before we finally opened presents. None of the party stuff was back to back....except of course the events and the breaks! We did nothing else until everyone left. It was great and Daniel had a blast!! That was all that really mattered.

Getting Ready.....

.....to move!!! It all happened so fast! We put our house on the market and it sold in four days!! Nothing like throwing out a fleece and getting confirmation. Everything is falling into place so far except the appraisal, which has yet to be ordered. I refuse to pack a single box until it is appraised and ready to go...hence all the empty boxes. :) But I am trusting the Lord in all his perfect timing. I KNOW he has something planned. So glad that I can rest in that. Whew! One of my favorite things looks ready to go! :)
