Trip Lee Photo

Tried to copy a cool picture I really like of Trip Lee. Didn't quite duplicate but it was fun. I am not very creative but I copy well both in my drawing and photography. I know sad. I need to develop my own style and creativity. On the upside I can figure lots of things out just by looking at it. :)

Here is one of my sons favorite songs....I must admit it has grown on me. Love, love Trip Lee's lyrics, his unique voice and the way he performs.

"That me?"

This is a picture of a picture. Critter ran across it and asked, "That me?" and I said, "No that is Jesse." But he argued with me for a few minutes before he agreed. Cute!

Brotherly Love

I really have succumb to taking alot of photos on my iPhone. It is just SO easy. Grant it they can be grainy but I do love this shot!!! We were out at lunch and Critter was all over him. The best.

Flash Exposure

Jesse was working on his tricks so I decided to work on my flash exposure. I wanted to expose for the sky but light up Jesse too. That way I got the pretty blue sky, pink cloud, and Jesse's action at the same time.

He's reading! Shocking

It is like pulling teeth to get Jesse to read. I tried buying exciting books for him but to no avail. I made him bring this to the doctor's appt. He loved me for it! Ha!

He's back!!

He has been gone for 6 days at camp and even though we were up there for part of the time and saw him a few times it is good to have him back home.

Poor Guy

Last boy to be sick. He was riding at the skate park with friends when it hit him hard. He was on the grass for awhile before we ever made it home. Few things lay him out and he was down. :(

Riding Off

We have been saying Jesse could go riding off on his own for some time now but with the move and all that is going on it just hasn't happened and he hasn't been interested UNTIL Jon took him riding the other day. He is a pro BMX rider and Jesse was thrilled to go on a ride with him alone. So when Peyton came over today they were off....no time wasted once we got home. They were gone.

Cotillion

Oh my goodness....he is so good lookin'. Kicking myself for not taking pics with his friends who are just as cute. It was hard to get him there and to get him to keep his top button buttoned but hey he got a new pair of vans out of the whole thing and YES he wore them. He looked awesome. Can't wait to hear about his day. He is still hanging with his friends...miss him....

Backflip

Jesse has been doing this for awhile but he just mastered it without a trampoline. Yeah, I know he is using the mattresses here but he can do it on solid ground. He is pretty proud of that. :)

Bookends

Today my two middle boys had evening events so I went out with my bookends. Not that I have alot of "books" in the middle but I like they are the oldest and youngest. We shared a Double Farmer Boys Burger, a root beer, and a fry. It was perfect. They really enjoy each other and Critter loves to chase after Jesse when he is ahead and call out his name to wait. Super cute. They are so much alike in so many ways. It is like having a baby Jesse all over again. Even with his cleft he looks so much like Jesse's baby pictures.

Mow the lawn son!!

Not sure if he is gagging on a piece of grass or what! Not my favorite picture in the world but he made me laugh so he earned photo of the day. Look how long the grass is from all the rain and shine....well....not to mention that he hasn't exactly been doing his chores lately. :) The lawn mower actually got stuck a few times from all the grass. Ha, serves him right for waiting so long.We are getting ready for Daniel's party tomorrow. Woo hoo!

Too Much Fun!

Jesse and Matthew are something else! They have WAY too much fun together. See that blank piece of paper in front of him? Yep, this is why he needs to be in the 5 day program. The room in the background is where Matthew works so they can still hear and see each other but Matthew finished super early today and decided to lounge on the couch and tell Jesse jokes. I love their friendship but they laugh the entire way through school. One time they past a note in school AT HOME?  Really!

Last Minute Project

I just found out about the extent of this project today and it is due tomorrow! I swore I wasn't going to help him but didn't I do a great job! haha It was actually a team effort and we got to sit in the garage and listen to his new iTouch. It was worth it to be with him.

Jesse's 13 on 1-8-11

We had a huge celebration for Jesse's 13th. We wanted to do something different. Something that would would serve as a "right of passage" into manhood. SO many cultures around the world have been doing this for years. We wanted it to be an opportunity to teach Jesse it is time to be a young man and not flounder about during his teenage years. It is a reference point for us to use as we continue to disciple him to grow as a man and as a follower of Christ.

We started the weekend on Friday night with my parents who flew down to be a part of the celebration. We went to Sweet Lumpy's and there Jesse got to open up his brand new iTouch from Grandma and Grandpa.
 He is stoked!

On Saturday a group of men that we believe have had an influence, are influencing, or we will influence Jesse's life gathered to share the Word of God with him. They had skits, teachings and practical illustrations on how to live his life for the Lord. Jesse also had to share the gospel to Eddie, who acted as an unbeliever. We called it the Pow-Wow! :)

It was a very moving time for both Eddie and Jesse. A time where Eddie ceased his instruction for a day and let him know how very proud he is to have Jesse as his son.
These are most of the men that attended. I think there are only three missing. We have a tremendous amount of respect for them all.

The families all came to our house for a party after the "Pow-Wow". This is only about half the kids that were there. Yes, there were a bunch of girls but I have no clue what they were doing. :)

Practice

I took Jesse to wrestling practice today. First time I have stayed since he has been playing. They practice their moves of the day by "letting" each other get pinned and then they go "live" and wrestle until one gets pinned and get back up and keep going until the whistle. This was during live wrestling. He had fun with me there. He kept looking up to see if I was watching during his practice moves. :)

Buddies!

Slade and Jesse. These guys have been buddies for a long time and I think this is actually the only picture (well of the few I took at this time) I have of just the two of them. I finally made an effort to get them to pause for a minute in their madness to capture them together. They are crazy friends. Love 'em!!

7th Grade

I cannot believe he is in 7th grade!!! He will be 13 in January and officially a young man in this house. We will be have quite the celebration. Can't wait. Anyway he likes to get his picture taken before he gets his head shaved for football. So we tend to consider these pictures his school pictures. I didn't take an after photo like I did last year but here is my sweet boy who is rapidly turning into a man.

Graduation

Here it is the beginning of the new school year and I am just posting on graduation. I had two graduate at the same time.  Needless to say we have had a very busy summer. Crazy fun though!

Sorry but I think the boy on the bottom row to the far left is by far the cutest!!!

His cap makes this ceremony look like a religious one. haha

This was the first time I ever displayed Jesse's kindergarten picture...possibly the first time out of the envelope. Sad, I know. He sure was cute!

Our dinner celebration! It was a treat.
