Raindrops keep falling....

We took a trip out to visit the mission we are studying for California History. We chose the one in Sonoma since we knew we would be able to visit it. It was boring. We all were way more interested in what was happening across the street. The long awaited park and the beautiful fall tress. We left the mission a bit more learned but not by much and eagerly headed for the "fun" spot.

This was located in the courtyard of the mission and was very interesting to me. I think it is a HUGE fig tree. It is like nothing I have ever seen before. It has fruit all over it but looks totally dead. Being completely surrounded with cactus it seems to be chocking.

When we exited the mission it was raining. It looks like it is pouring but the sun is lighting up the drops. So pretty.

Of course! What child doesn't?

Can it get any better?!

Can you see the rain? It is so neat to me how it is completely sunny but raining at the same time. It was just a huge rain cloud passing by. So totally cool. At one point during our little outing it began to POUR down rain. I was desperately trying to keep the camera dry by hiding it in my jacket. It was great fun. Once we all scurried for cover it stopped just as sudden as it started and the sun perked right back up. It was simply wonderful!

He has a one track mind. From the time we left the house to the time we got to the park all he did was hang on to that football. Never mind all the beautiful sights that can be taken in. All he needed was grass, aka a field,  and it was game on.

Daniel attempting to conquer his fear once again by sliding down that pole. It was a bit wet to hang on to though.

Fall Chips

I don't always have the most clever or creative ideas but I am really good at copying other people. Saves me the time of thinking up stuff on my own. ;) Anyway I found this article on how to make leaf chips for fall and thought I would share it. Looks super easy, which I like, and lots of fun. Click on the picture to make it bigger and read instructions.
