Missionary Friends

This is posted out of a deep love for our friends who are also feeling the American recession.

Greetings! Our family has been serving in Mexico since 1997. The past seven years our focus has been church planting in Oaxaca, Southern Mexico. Part of our strategy in church planting has been the discipleship of indigenous pastors to further reach their own areas. Several churches have been planted in Oaxaca through our disciples.

Two years ago we began to feel that God was expanding our focus to not only disciple Mexican missionaries to reach their own Indian tribes but to also reach other Unreached People Groups around the world. 18 months ago I became executive director of a Mexican Missions Agency called MPAM, which stands for in Spanish, “Mexicans To Reach The World”. This ministry trains and mentors churches and missionary candidates exclusively from Mexico and supported by Mexican donations to reach unengaged people groups mainly in the 10/40 Window.

I, along with the network of MPAM regional representatives under my leadership, am involved in the following activities: (1) Holding missions conferences around the country. (2) Teaching missions courses such as “Perspectives”. (3) Running a summer missions training course for candidates. (4) Helping local churches develop a missions board and giving ideas to promote missions in their local church. (5) Connecting churches and candidates with field missions agencies. MPAM works with all evangelical denominations and has memorandums of understanding to work with several International agencies such as Frontiers (www.frontiers.org) and Wycliffe. We are designated as the Mexican Sendng Base for Frontiers. We currently have missionaries working in Europe, the Middle East and South East Asia.

MPAM is governed by a board of directors consisting of Mexican Pastors and Missions Leaders in Mexico. We currently live in San Luís Potosí, Central Mexico. My position as director requires that we raise our own missionary support. Please prayerfully consider partnering with us to reach the nations.
