Rope making, excavating, and archery!!

They children learned how to make rope! The hammers are to bang out the fresh reed so it is flatted.



It is then seperated and braided. Once dry it is a nice strong rope. In their case it is more like a whip since it is quite short. Well, the purpose is to learn the process right!

The reed Matthew, not your head. This is to be expected so I guess I shouldn't be too hard on him. :)
The girls. Reminds me of little house on the prairie with Hannah's braids and white shirt.

Chad said we should have seen Will's face in this picture. She hit HIS bulls eye! This is a great shot!!
