My First Garden
We are studying Botany this spring so we decided to start a garden. Mostly for fun and education with hopefully the benefits of some fresh produce.
These are either my leeks or chives. I never got around to labeling them so I don't know which is which since they look exactly the same. Both are growing pathetically. This is over 2 months of growth.
These are my carrots. Why the ones in front are bigger who knows.
My tomatoes seem to be coming along nicely although it is my understanding that they need to be thinned out dramatically.
These are enormous and are at least a foot tall. A few weeks ago a friend asked me how my garden was doing.Me- "It is doing pretty good. My turnips are HUGE!"
My friend - "What are turnips?"
Me- " I don't know!"
We got a good laugh out of it and she seemed to remember it is what the rabbits eat. I guess I should look up what they are and what I should do with them since obviously the rabbits haven't been around.

I am jealous! I have wanted a garden for the past 3 years! We always get around to thinking about it when it is too late. I am afraid the rabbits would eat it all and my labor would be in vain! We are infested with rabbits in my neighborhood.
Good job, Carri! I like your garden!
whoo hooo!!! Looks like you're off to a good start, I bet you yield a great harvest...happy gardening!!!
Cant wait to eat something you cook from your garden!
