Texas and Relatives

I took a trip to Texas with Chirstopher this summer for my Grandmother's 80th surprise birthday party. There were lots of relatives there and some I hadn't seen in over 9 years and some I had never even met. The south is so different than California and I am the only one in my entire family that has grown up out here.

You would think that he is a regular traveler. This is the shuttle ride through the airport at Dallas/Fort Worth.

My sweet, sweet cousin, Sandy. My ONLY cousin on my mom's side. She loves the Lord and being with her was definitely a highlight. She has nine children and her family is a real treat go be around. SO wish I lived down the street from her.

A few of her boys. They would fit right into my family.

Christopher LOVED her little girl Mallory. She is four and just doted on him the whole time. He gobbled up all the attention and had a great time with her and the boys.

He also LOVED Paw Paw, my aunts husband. He wouldn't go to any of the women in the family but always sought out the men. He would follow him around and whine to be held by him. Worked for me. :)
My Aunt Ida and David. Oh yes, my Aunt Ida. Love her. We stayed with her and she was great. They had the 24 hour western channel on the entire time. No joke. It was hilarious. Loved it, although I was too engrossed in my book to watch it but it rang southern through and through.

The game of choice the whole weekend. I am such a sore loser. Rematch next time I am out Grandma and mother!

And of course the reason we went. My grandmother! She is the one right next to me. Can ya believe she is 80? What a beauty.
