He fainted...what ?
Today was Jesse's first day of football practice at the "golden" hour of 7:30. (Yes, that means I was up with four boys at 6am and out the door at 7am.) The idea is to get them ready for school by getting them use to waking up early. How does that work for us homeschoolers?
Well I was the "good" mom and made a nice hearty breakfast knowing full well he would need the energy. He ate little food and drank less water. Well, needless to say not but 10 minutes into the practice I found him lying on the ground with two coaches down by his side. Oh come on I thought. Really! When he stood up he was white as a ghost. I admit I gasped. Never have I ever known Jesse to grow weak during "play" time. He is mister endurance and stamina. He tells the story much better than I do but I guess he was seeing things and growing dizzy and walked over to the coach who ended up catching him. Crazy. They say he was probably dehydrated and I know he needed more food in his system but really, can't we just blame it on the time of day?
